This is a full, custom machined aluminum kit to convert AMP frame and fork proprietary AMP D1 and the early White Industries "Rock Shox" disc brake tabs to accept standard, modern ISO 51mm disc brakes. This means you can use modern hydraulic or mechanical disc brakes on your vintage rig! AMP fork tab holes are 25.4 mm apart (on center). This is what the old AMP brakes and Rock Shox brakes are designed to fit. International Standard (or "ISO") are 51mm apart (center to center). IS is what a lot of modern disc calipers are spaced for. So, these brackets allow the adaptation of IS calipers (modern). I developed these for my AMP B4 with an AMP F3 fork, but (in theory) they should work on most AMP frames with disc tabs and other bikes (Litespeed, Mongoose, etc) that used AMP rear triangles. Should also work for most of the AMP forks with disc tabs (25.4 mm hole spacing). The size rotor you decide to use and the brand of caliper will determine how you mount it to the 51mm ISO holes on the bracket (i.e. which caliper mounting bracket you use, if any). ***you may have to slightly modify with spacers etc. a bit on other frames besides the B4 or with varied brakesets...I cannot guarantee a perfect fit!*** Details of the kit: Front + Rear: machined front and rear aluminum adapter bracket, offset spacers (front and rear), M5 bolts and nuts, caliper bolts, rear frame swingarm conversion kit** BRAKES NOT INCLUDED **Swing arm kit is a special bushing +panhead bolt + lock nut + washers. This replaces the non-drive side seatstay-to-chainstay frame pivot bolt. The original bolt sits recessed into frame and the nut is on the inside of the stay. The nut (at least on my frame) contacted the larger new 160mm brake rotor. To make it work, I removed the bolt and installed a pan head allen bolt in the opposite orientation (insert from inner stay). The bushing fits into the recessed part of the frame where the original bolt head was (to fill the space). Washers and lock nut go on outside of frame. This gave me clearance to run rotors. You may not need it if A. your frame is different or B. you plan to run rear rotor smaller than 160mm.
The kit is designed to work with any post mount disc caliper
(mechanical or hydraulic) that uses a side mount caliper adapter (see the pics) for whatever rotor size you decide to use.
**** The kit will not work with centerlock rear rotors or your original AMP rotors
, only 6 bolt rotors ****
AMP rear  frame triangles were designed for very small rotors, so anything larger than 160mm will have clearance issues. AMP forks were not designed for modern braking power, I do not recommend larger than 160mm rotors.
Brakes are a critical safety component and the brackets must be installed correctly to ensure safe stopping. Only instal these yourself if you are a competent mechanic!
